Contracts

We have designed a strategy which would ensure all your contracts align and finish at the same time. This type of contract is called a staggered start, common end.

The ‘staggered start, common end’ type contract is an alignment of all current contracts with a corporate end which we believe could be beneficial to the business.

How it works:

We pick an end date in the future and apply that end date to every meter that you are responsible for in a new contract and start that multi meter contract from the earliest renewal that would benefit you most.

The actual start date for each meter will be staggered as current contracts come to an end and then get picked up by the new supplier. This means that some meters will have a 60-month contract, some will have a 58-month contract etc.

Example:-       Meter 1 current end date 06/06/2019  = 60-month contract

                       Meter 2 current end date 31/08/2019  = 58-month contract

                       Meter 3 current end date 31/12/ 2019 = 54-month contract

The benefits of this type of contract are:

  • By the end of the contract, all your meters are due for renewal together which
gives you more leverage when negotiating a new contract, as the overall volume of
Kilowatt hours is greater as all meter’s consumption is together

  • The risk of missing renewals and transferring to rolling contracts is eliminated, and
you have only one contract with all your meters included

  • The convenience of not having to constantly keep on top of contracts., is much easier to monitor your consumption/cost
